You will earn a total cash back credit of 12% on net purchases (« Welcome Bonus ») charged to your RBC Cash Back Preferred World Elite Mastercard during the first three months following your account opening date (« Period »), up to a maximum total of $2,000 in purchases. Once you have reached $2,000 or three months have passed since your account opening, the standard accumulation rate applicable to your credit card type will apply. Specifically, the 12% cash back includes the standard accumulation rate applicable to your card type and is not in addition to your standard accumulation rate. Cash back is awarded on net purchases only. It is not awarded on cash advances (including balance transfers, cash-like transactions, and bill payments that are not pre-authorized debits set up with a merchant), interest charges, or other fees. Credits for returns and adjustments will reduce or cancel the cash back earned on the amount originally charged to the card. The Welcome Bonus will be credited to your Cash Back account four to six weeks after the statement date of the Period, provided your credit card account is open and in good standing at the time of the credit, « in good standing » meaning that the account must not be more than two (2) consecutive statement periods past due, closed, or written off, and that credit must not have been revoked at that time.

If you close your RBC Cash Back Preferred World Elite Mastercard credit card or replace it with another type of RBC Royal Bank credit card before the Welcome Bonus has been credited to your account, you may no longer be eligible for this offer.
